That's the 8GB SSD version which has been reported to be slow (like the ASUS), and of course, it is lacking in storage capacity.

For anybody who really wants an AAO, the ONLY way to go is the 120 or 160gb HD version.

There was a slight mixup on my order from Newegg, and they were great. I purchased the Blue AAO with 160gb drive for 399, and because of the mixup, they credited me back 75 bucks...so it came to 324.

Anyone know if its possible to buy that 8gb SSD model and replace it with a 120gb HD or such? That should still be a good deal.

I haven't had the AAO yet but I have a feeling the 8GB SSD is built onto the mobo.

It may have less storage, but this model is resistant to shock, I think since these are made for portability mostly, this is an important feature. You could easily damage the 160GB hard drive on the other models, by shaking it too much, especially while it works.

the ssd's are the size of a wlan or wwan mini-pci card. so you wouldn't really need to replace it as you cannot shove a 2.5 or even a 1.8 drive into the interposer/slot. you could put another wifi mini card in it i suppose.
