Does anyone know if there will be good sales on laptops after New Years? I would love to have once before classes start this semester.

I would love to find an HP G50 with PDC T3200, 3 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD, HDMI, and a webcam. Basically this computer: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834147823

For some reason I find this HP to be sleeker and better looking than any other HP being made now.

Well, usually prices drop around 10% in January and given the current economic downturn, I'm sure we will see even better deals than usual.

This was exactly what I was going to say. The economy is supposed to get worse, so that only means it will be a better buyer's market. The retailers have no choice, either bring the prices down or take your ball and go home.

I would guess saying prices drop only after Jan 12. Most will have a sale but the actual price will drop without a sale after that date. By then most students are back from break and so they have to go after the "real" market

I am hoping for a sale before that price drop period then. Because then I would have to wait longer for the sales on the price dropped items.

So should there be some big sales coming out this Sunday? Luckily I don't have to go to work until 12pm on Sunday (in case there are any good sales in stores that I would have to show up early for)

Quick question for the coupons/deals experts: When are new coupons usually released? Is there some kind of time in the month or day in the week that they usually come out?

For me, I have seen Dell's later in the week, and it depends on each brand you are looking at also, for coupon releases. ;)

Here is a page at xpbargains.com with the latest Dell coupons:
    http://www.xpbargains.com/st_deals.php/Dell_coupons.htm

(they are also archived on the bottom to give you an idea) :D

I sign up for sites like this e-mail alerts. They are nice to receive, and a great *heads up*!

    Cin ;) :)
