Down from $1,499 to a $1030 starting price in a month. Get it for a new $1,200 starting price and a $170 instant Black Friday rebate. That means that you can get the 9800M GT model for $1380, which is probably the best price/performance ratio on any laptop out. It's definitely a really tempting offer...

Even crazier, the Alienware m17x is down to a $1530 starting price from $200. A new $1800 starting price plus a $270 rebate.

According to their website, it doesn't exactly work that way. $100 off and free shipping ($70). Which makes it more like 1,269 - 170 = 1,099. The 9800M GT is a $350 upgrade.

$1,099 + $350 = $1,450. With tax, that brings up to $1,672.92 shipped and everything basic except for the 9800M GT upgrade.

no offense but i dont see why anyone would buy an alienware even with those **special prices**..Still FAR more expansive than a SAGER laptop for less.

The only reasonable notebook Alienware sells is the M17 (OCZ)...price is actually not too outrageous and comparable to many resellers of the OCZ DIY gaming 17"

What are you talking about aleinware starts you off with garbage that the resellers are coming with standard. also if yyou were to compare rpices it is about 200 dollars more. plus no overclock. try it. on resellers 1200p screen is standard. the clor keyboards or too. the internal tvtuner is also. (but no remote) and compare it to anyother one.

edit: oppppps you right. i just checked it. i forgot about the Os. I feel dum.
