I'm not sure what Game of the year mean but I think it's just a special version of COD 4 MW after they get some kind of game of the year award. That's what they did to Fallout 3 too. It has a Game of the Year version too. Probably just some collector edition??

Usually GOTY versions include map packs or whatever add-on content is released.

There's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and its sequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

CoD4:MW is the one that's on sale now.

And yeah, the Game of the Year edition just includes the maps and stuff that you would normally download via patches anyway, so it's really nothing necessary.

ive been playing both..but the lack of dedicated servers just blows in mw2, also in mw1 i can actually see my ping in NUMBERS not bars. If you live in the USA youll get <100ms in mw1, but in mw2 probably going to be much higher

The amount of players: mw1 can be up to 64 players, usually 24-32..in mw2 18 max, usually 12. More players, less places to hide/camp hahaha really kinda of impossible to get 15+ kill streak in mw1, i think 10+ is damn hard in 64 players game...

You can get $20 mw2 'deals' but you will have to share the account... the seller will resell the steam account as he wont give you the info to change the password/email..Personal experience. That price comes like a relief when you see all these hackers, knifers and noobtubers but sometimes just sucks to be kicked out of your account (cant play anything in that) or that the other 'account holders' hack the stats to be 10 prestige.

I also have bc2 but when i join a 110ms server, it says i have >250 =( trying to get close servers on the web...but its impossible to add them to favorites...really bored by that.
