You could try a place like Walmart; Gamestop; CompUsa

Looks like the "refurb" ones cost around $42 :) New is going to cost you a bit more.

    CompUsa

CompUsa is located right in Orlando, I'm sure the other stores are also. You may also want to check Craigslist.

Microsoft really dropped the ball making the HD on the 360 proprietary. It's one of the main reasons I won't get one along with the rrod. My PS3 has 500gb and it costed me $85...

But yeah, check refurbs and don't forget bing cash back!

    Not so !

The 360 drive is a 5400 rpm notebook drive. There are plenty of tutorials on the net on how to change out a 20GB drive and replace it with a 60/120/250GB. I do agree that this is one advantage the PS3 has over the 360.

Oh that's interesting to know. Does it void the console's warranty/blacklist you live? I know doing this on the original xbox would get you banned.

In that case, to the OP I'd try to find an empty 360 HD enclosure and throw a 500gb scorpio blue in there.

The RROD is a thing of the past unless you plan to buy a really old, used Xbox 360.
