    Hi guys,

I've noticed the great coupon deals offered by this site for Dell.com. That's a tremendous deal for anyone with a shipping address in the United States. I'm a Canadian that is very interested in purchasing a Dell Notebook. I wanted to know if there are coupons that can be used on the Dell.ca website or if anyone knows of some deals that would be available to Canadians. Thanks for your help.

    Cheers.

    Nope.

The best I've seen for Canadians are $200~ max off $1500+, or free printer/ram upgrade/cpu upgrade.

I woulda picked up a 710m if the coupons worked :(

I want to cry, i really want to buy a Inspiron 6400 but the deal this week is an expanded hard-drive and a 100$ off. Com-on, what the hell is this.
BTW dont forget to call the salesmen from India when you are purchasing online and ask him for a better offer. He will give you one for certain. Just dont tell him you are from Canada :)

Ship it to the UPS store where I work at and I'll ship it back to you for UPS standard shipping. :)

i've been reading up on the problem and i think my best bet in this matter is to get one off ebay from someone in the states. for a fully loadied system (and i mean fully loaded t2600, 2gig 667, 7900gs, 100gb ..etc) and its $200cad lesser after (approximate) shipping than the system i picked out which was not nearly as tricked out. does anyone know if id run into any problems going this route?

    Hei BigDude1978,

For certain you will be charged the Canadian Taxes on the border so your price goes up by about 15%.

On other forums people had called CanadianCustoms and they were told that there are no other duties, except in some cases an inspection fee, but i suggest you call CanadianCustoms yourself to make certain, if you want the right info get it yourself :) .

The warranty of the lappy you are getting "may" be transferable but only in the country it is sold, meaning only to another US owner. Do check with the company that gives the warranty to the e-bay owner.

Not true about the warranty. You can transfer it from US to Canada. They have a form on Dell.ca for international warranty transfer.

The Dell coupon deal here pisses me off too... I would have easily bought a e1405 or XPS if I could get the same deal as the Americans... but the way it is now I can get a better bargain just buying off the shelf at Future Shop or Best Buy, and at least there I get to see the product before I buy.
