Are there any deals that match Dell's?

overall price for the same config's right now?? i see the hp deals but i cant get everything i could in the dell like the 8600gt card and for a lesser config it costs more overall.. is there anyone maybe i missed considering?? any off brands i may not have thought of?? thanks willing to look any any one at this point..

 

well i was looking at the inspiron 1420 for a bit, but if you are a student you can get an apple macbook for cheap. i wanted a thinner machine and a more sleeker machine. i was interested in a 13.3 or 14.1 but i like smaller better. i got the macbook for 1000+300 for ipod and printer = 1405 with tax. they send you 300 back for the ipod and printer and today i sold the ipod for 170 and i am going to keep the printer prolly. overall the machine cost me 935 and i am installing 1 more gb of ram which i bought for $86 shipped. total cost is 1021 for the macbook with tax, printer, and ram upgrade.

 

everything we run is windows based though.. and i am not a student... i dont think a mac would work out well thought they are very nice..

 

Have you tried looking at Lenovo 3000 N200? Lenovo doesn't have the best graphics card but for the prices and specs, it's pretty good. I think configuring a Dell does cost more.
