Anyone know if this is any different than the 1005ha sold at newegg and such? Seems like a really good deal if they didn't dumb down any components.

Compared to the cheapest one on Newegg, the BB one has a 3 cell battery instead of the 6 cell.

Also doesn't have bluetooth and has the N270 rather than the N280, not like the latter matters though. Might be other differences too.

BT is kind of an issue, but swapping out the 6 cell for the 3 cell is a killer.

    This is the 1005HA B.

    Isn't the 1005HAB different than the 1005HA ?

They sure do make it confusing. I feel bad for the average consumer that doesn't realize there are multiple versions.

    yea, that's a damn mess.

imagine reading the C|Net review, buying one from Best Buy expecting 10 hours of battery life, then being surprised by only getting 4 hours?

I nearly bought this for my uncle when we visited Best Buy, but I'm glad that I held back to do some research first. And yeah, I really feel for those un-savvy shoppers who've been duped.

Why does Best Buy have to make us so wary about shopping there? Shouldn't they realize that as long they secretly neuter their laptops, serious buyers will avoid them?
