    I have been waiting for this deal for weeks now, and right when I finally purchase a Z96J notebook from GenTech, Newegg.com roles out with the model that I was looking at the entire time. Doesn't it always seem to happen like that?

    your z96j has a better screen.

    most parts are virtually identical. x1700 is not much faster if at all but it has hdcp support.

    I just wish these Asus's had larger batteries and more RAM...I'd be all over it, but I guess I'm waitin until Santa Rosa.
