    This is an insanely good deal.

    In contrast: Best Buy has the G53SW-BST6 model (same $1,099) and 1) You DON'T get the ASUS 1 year accidental warranty. 2) 4GB RAM (2 less than Newegg). 3) i5 processor vs Newegg's i7. 4) 1366 x 768 (Newegg: 1920x1080!) THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT FIND!

    8lbs is really not that heavy.
    A 12pack of beverage weighs about 10lbs give or take. (depending on what the beverage is) I doubt anyone will claim that is heavy in public.

    The difference of 1 lb one way or another is pretty much a non-factor.
    An extra 1lb is a small price to pay for a laptop that never has problems with cooling and doesn't make a sound while it does it.
    Especially at that price.

    also, it's relative, a 5lb laptop will feel much heavier than a 3lb, but an 8lb laptop won't feel much heavier than a 6lb laptop
