Don't forget to mention that it comes with Office Home and Student and an 8-cell battery. This exact configuration, including the office software and battery, would cost ~$1000 on Dell's website. This is actually a great deal.

Wow, that's a great deal. The laptop by itself has nice specs, but tack on the external ODD, MS Office, and 8-cell battery and that is killer.

The only downer with the 14z is the resolution, but it is a 14" screen after all.

No problem! I woudl get one myself, but I am saving.
The laptop itself is pricier than that, plus the software AND the eOD? wow

The BB model does not have the backlit keyboard or the high-res screen. Good deal though, this is much less than via Dell.com.

i was just in bestbuy today looking at this model. i really like it and am kicking myself for getting the studio xps 1340 from bestbuy 2 weeks ago, the screen is nicer on the 14z vs the 1340 but no backlit keyboard and smaller keys and the touchpad feels SUPER cheap. but the battery is great.
