Good price! I haven't seen it that cheap yet - thanks for posting!
Yeah...I'm really tempted to pick one up, but if you have the Audigy in there then you can't use your laptop's internal speakers.... -
Ive been reading some post that say theres a new driver that lets you use your internal speakers with this card. I will confirm once I get mine.

You guys should check Andrew's posts more often - Even though I'm in Canada - I look for deals too good to miss out on, and I order it using a US -> Canada parcel service! -
love it when coriolis gets my back
$70 is a good deal. $57 was an incredible deal -- albeit a rebate can be a pain and no instant gratification. Sad that deal is over. -
Yea, I tried to buy it but it only accepts American Billing Addresses..
Booo!! -
Hi, I downloaded the latest drivers for the card, and indeed you can use your internal speakers. The way it works, there is a small icon in systray, let's you check-mark if you want to hear through the speakers or not. Very quick w/o having to go through a millioin menus. After that, the Audigy patches through the WAV interface in the notebook's soundcard, then through its speakers. Just make sure the volume is up on the internal sound card.
Only problem: When playing a video, you'll see a 1 - 2 second delay in audio, becuase now the sound has to go through extra processing (cycling through 2 soundcards instead of one). This doesn't bother me when listening to to just music, however.
This card sounds VERY good, especially with some good headphones that are made for deep bass. It's def. there. -

The Audigy only outputs the sounds from the ports on the PCMCIA, going out. Unless you physically modify the internal speakers to have an extra wire, well, it's not possible.
Plus, most internal speakers suck anyways -
Like I was saying, however, that with teh new drivers, the SB is capable of mapping through the internal sound card to output the int speakers. Obviously, you'll lose some quality but at least you can still use the equalizer function with the SB.

Well, the reason I wanted it was because the sound quality is much better - I've an Audigy 2 in my desktop, and it is beautiful for gaming. It supports nearly all of the HD sound effects.
