Id say there was a pretty big difference. With Bing cash back, it came in at 1505 delivered

Thats why it was a big deal that tiger direct had it back in stock along with their 12% cash back still in effect.

Well, I just canceled my envy 17 for this. With the bing cashback, it is only $150 more for an upgrade to a core i7, 4 more gigs of ram, better video card, blu-ray player, backpack, mouse, and next day shipping!

I can't wait to get this tomorrow!

I really hope it does ship tonight. It did say buy today, ships today on the product page and the next day shipping said it would arrive the next day by 4:30. My order is still stuck at: In Process - Your order is in process at our warehouse. If they don't ship today, I will want a refund on the next day shipping.

 

I just got done buying my a1 through tiger/ bing cb

interesting note they got the a2 but price jumped it 50$ to $1650.... so blue-ray for 50$...... (not much choice)

in the last post some people had some difficulty with it actually shipping the next day........ still will be in soon...

 

Just called just Tigerdirect and they said my order is packed and waiting to be picked up by ups. Bad news is that I won't be getting it by tomorrow(Wednesday) because I missed the noon cutoff for next day delivery. So I will be receiving it on Thursday.

 

Mine shipped (and I have tracking number), but that is because mine was the VERY FIRST 'on back order.' So they upgraded me to priority overnight, and I get it first thing tomorrow No cost to me. I'm going to compare this head to head with my soon to arrive Alienware 5870 r2, with 620m, so it will be nice to do some tests on 620 vs 720.

Glad I was able to help folks catch this good deal while it was still around. It took almost a month for me to catch it again, hopefully you guys didnt have to wait that long!

I got mine and Wow, this thing is BEAUTIFUL. Whoever ordered one of these is going to love it.

 

Tigerdirect's order tracking page says that my order has shipped and gives me a tracking number for ups but I have not received an email stating that it has been shipped. When I try and track it in ups, it can not find it.

 

yeah thats basically normal for TD. Bookmark the tracking number and check on it once in a while, it will prob update soon especially since its one day shipping.

TD delays the "Shipped" email for a while since I guess to make sure the tracking number will actually show something. Right now it means they just have a number, but UPS hasnt come by to get the package yet.(or it hasnt been scanned by UPS yet, etc)

 

yeah, same problem, it worked this morning a few hours before I received it. dont let that scare you into thinking it didnt ship!

 

I will also order from Tiger direct but the problem is is there any problems with the blu-ray players of the laptop?

 

I will test out the blu-ray player tomorrow when I receive it.

 

Didn't have an issue when I had PowerDVD9, but after clean install, don't have a compatible player for the latest movie, which renders the blu-ray player useless for me.

 

The product page now shows that it ships in 7-21 days. I still have not received the shipping email and the tracking number still doesn't work as well.

 

I finally received the tracking email but the tracking only said it was shipped/billed on today the 17th. I called up tigerdirect and they emailed me the actual tracking number which says it is out for delivery!

I'm curious, when did you receive your bing cashback email?

 

See I told you not to worry too much about the delivery.

The bing cash back email I got in less then 1 hour from the ordering it on line. Even though it was backordered, it still came shortly after I placed the order. Call bing customer support and get your credit underway. You definitely should have already received the email. Keep in mind it says its going to take 60 days for the actual credit to be yours, but at least after 2 months it will be. Make sure you get a pending credit in your bing account for this!

One thing I noticed about my tracking number. Tigerdirect says they shipped it with next day air saver, while my tracking number has the service code of 01 and not 13 like next day air saver would have. 01 stands for next day air red. I hope that they actually did send it by red and not saver.

EDIT: Also, another observation I made. The tracking number which doesn't work and was initially given to me by tigerdirect has the 13 next day air saver service code. It does appear that they sent it to my by next day air red by mistake.

 

It just arrived and I love it! I really like how the screen looks other than the glossy finish. Keyboard feels really good. The touchpad buttons are a bit to tough to press for my taste.

Now, to just wait for my SSD and Wireless N router to arrive today.

 

I ordered..... later that night said it was waiting for pick-up..... said hold on credit card.... cleared it up.... they said it would ship the next day.....now says that I'm backordered....... I just don't understand how it is "waiting for carrier pick-up"... and then backordered.....


Edit* okay so I called today i suppose the "good news" is they expect another shipment the 25th.... so if you didn't get one you may still have a chance.....
