did anyone even actually buy from that link? i had a buddy of mine test it out and he says the game has been giving him alot of problems so far, and he can't even get it to install properly.

I followed another guide to get the language files installed (since their link is a bit off) but it took me hardly any time at all.

Been playing on all servers since the weekend.

thanks. i'll try to relay the message to my buddy. i'm about to pick up the game also, so i wanted to know if this site was legit or not. he told me that they sent him the code after a few hours > he then tried to open it to install it > the program closes right after opening > computer detected malware. was he supposed to do the language thing before or after installation?

BTW: how's battlefield 3? any good/bad? me and 2 buddies are gonna be more focused towards multiplayer gameplay.

 

You have to run this game through orion (bleh) whether you bought it in physical or downloaded format.

So, just download the orion program then add your key.. .it will then download the game.
After the game is downloaded you need to add the language files then change a few registry settings then you can launch the game just fine.

So far I think the game is fun, just a bunch of *sshats on the servers (typical)

It seems like your friend is using EA origin for the first time, it's not malware but a utility provided by Electronic arts for their games.

He needs to do the language conversion after installing the game and running the game to see if the installation was ok.

Then perform the lang change by adding the language pack and the update.

Battlefield 3 on your Beast (with maxed out graphics) is going to be amazing, the characters are very life like, overall feel is good and the game is awesome when it comes to multiplayer. A few bugs are always going to be there like the multiplayer is having issues with connectivity and lag etc but my experience was positive.

Can't wait to see what call of duty brings to the stage.

Wish I had known about the $30 price, could have gotten a better deal.

Formerglory you can send developox the link to the $30 post and they will give you a lower price, at least I am always offered a cheaper or similar price if I find it elsewhere. The benefit of staying with developox, for me, is that i get loyalty points and random coupons, which i can use to further lower the price on any order.

Anyone else use a CC on this one? Really thinking of just breaking down and using my CC, since PayPal isn't working. Not too worried about fraudulent charges, since my credit union is pretty good about getting a replacement card for me quickly if I have to cancel this one.

honestly, it's a pretty dang cool game, but i already knew that this game would just be a temporary filler for me til the new CoD comes out. that's only because all of my close friends play CoD (ps3) online.

 

How difficult is it to change the region? Thinking of doing this for MW3.

 

Now that it's released, how would you compare the 2, considering you have played both.

Unlike Battlefield, changing language on MW3 is done by manually downloading and adding the lang packs to the game folder. It's easy if you know how to copy files

However the biggest problem is activating the game, you need a vpn for that or else you have to give out your account info. I will say that guys at developox are trust worthy so your account will be safe but if you're buying some place else be sure to check reviews and google them first.

well, it's a bit hard to give a fair comparison cuz i have BF3 on PC and MW3 on PS3. i'll start off by saying the graphics on BF3 are really nice. i'd prolly have to side with BF3 if we were talking about pure graphics and detail.

campaign: i can't really comment on this cuz i don't really have alot of interest in the story. i haven't even tried MW3 campaign yet, and have only played an hour or 2 into BF3's campaign. for the hour or 2 i did play though, i was really impressed by BF3's graphics. i dunno if that has to do with me playing BF3 @ 1080p on high/ultra settings though. PC graphics > PS3 graphics.

multiplayer: i haven't tried alot of BF3's online gameplay yet, but what i did try, i hated. i bought a FPS so that i can run around and own little punks. not fly around in jets or drive around in tanks. all the vehicles really kill my multiplayer experience. another thing i absolutely hate is the size of all the maps. all of the ones i played on were friggin HUGE! i could run around the whole entire round and not see a single soul. YAWN!

as u can tell, i much prefer MW3 multiplayer. it's more straight forward, fast, and most importantly...FUN!

 

Thanks for your take houstoned. Lots of people are saying MW3 has been kind of a map update. BF3 does have killer graphics but no need to brag about that beast of yours, we know it can easily run BF3 at 1080p resolution .

 

i wouldn't say it was JUST a map update. again, i can't speak on the campaign, but they really did rework the multiplayer aspect of the game to balance things out. it also looks like they looked at alot of complaints about class imbalances, and addressed those as well. all in all, a nice improvement over the last couple of CoD releases.

p.s. - i kind of want to get MW3 on the PC now just to compare graphics lol. is that a little crazy?

 

Yes, considering that the graphics in the PC version are pretty much just as terrible as the console. The textures are extremely disappointing.

 

I think the graphics on PC will be better than PS for MW3 but won't be as good as BF3.

No issues so far, been playing for the past few days. Good deal, trusted seller.

Crazy considering the graphics are a straight rip from MW2. Many of the models, textures, animations, and effects (and sounds, but we're talking about graphics) are pulled straight from MW2 completely unchanged.

Seems to be an issue at your end. Their checkout page seems to redirect fine to paypal, the rest is on paypal. Did you inform them about the issue you were facing?

 

I did, and they suggested some troubleshooting steps. Went through them, no dice.

Anyways, it's a moot point now. Been playing BF3 for a few days now, and MW3 for Xbox is in the mail, on its way.
