Anyone know the best bargain for a NEW HP Mini 311? I know HP store has 10% off BCB right now. I'm kicking myself right now for missing the 25% sale. Anyone know of a way to get any more off?

I'm just looking for the base model one, retail $399 with Atom N270, 1GB RAM, XP Home, 160GB HDD. I already have 2GB memory, 320GB hard drive, and Windows 7 to put in it.

yeah man, i missed the sale and ended up paying $429 for my base model one, btw don't send it in for repair, cause they scratched the living hell out of it and replaced my 20 dead pixel lcd with a 15 dead pixel lcd :D

Hmmm, thanks. There is 10% Bing cashback at HP so I can get new for $360. Although now that I've seen the new Eee's (1218) with ION (1 or 2 still unsure) are coming very soon, I'll see what they have to offer and pricing. If it ends up driving the price of the Mini 311 down $100, I'll be a happy camper then!

The Asus 1201N isn't a bad laptop, it has the dual core atom, you may want to look at that aswell

I have, but I'm looking for as inexpensive as possible, the Mini 311 is smaller, and benchmarks haven't shown any significant difference between the 311 and 1201N. I can get the Mini 311 for $360, although would like it cheaper, and have the hardware to update it to 2GB and 320GB 7200RPM HDD and Windows 7. But if the new Eee's drive down the price of the 1201N it might be a good buy then.
