But for those of us who:

    1. Are not in Canada.

    2. Do not want to pay additional for shipping transborder.

    3. Do not want to hassle with a rebate form.

    4. Realize the item you cited it OUT OF STOCK...

This Best Buy deal represents a decent bargain. :D

$30 for 8GB of very portable storage is darn good, especially when you can get it local. I have the 1GB and 4GB SanDisk drives, and was going to order the 8GB from Newegg for $37 bucks till I seen them for $30 at Best Buy. I bought one yesterday, and picked up one today. I’ll take local that is within $5 - $10 over something being shipped to me any day. So unless they were somewhere else for $10 shipped, $30 is a darn good price. Again, especially from Best Buy.

I've seen corsair 16GB drives for 30-40 bucks. I sold a brand new 8GB SanDisk Gator a few months ago for only 20 bucks, flash drives are very cheap these days.

    +1

Absolutely. I picked up two of them at Best Buy today before heading out on my flight to NY. This is definitely a great deal, especially considering its Best Buy and I was able to get them without shipping charges, etc.

The sale is over, in any case. The drives are back up to about 71 and change.

Glad I picked up two at that great price.

I'm glad you got in on it too. :)

JR.com is now offering the same SanDisk 8gb USB flash drive for 29.99. The shipping charge is 2.99, though they do not charge sales tax unless you live in NY or CO.
