Okay, so maybe I'm just really biased, but the HP 9470m is such an incredible deal (searching ebay). I know it does have the latest gen (or even last 4 generation) CPU's, but for under 300 you can get an i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB mSATA, 1600x900 and an open 2.5" bay for even more storage. If you need a lot more battery life there's a slice battery that's also very cheap. In addition it has a smart card reader...I'm a gamer so if I'm gonna game I need a desktop so I have no need for anything special other than an SSD and NOT 1368xcrap screen.

Anyway, just check on ebay make sur eyou verify the screen, there's plenty of i5's for almost less than $200 as well. Figured I'd let everyone know if you're looking for a inexpesnive solution for yourself or friend. Also I believe win 10 pro is free for it (it's in the BIOS and you just install win 10 pro without key....so far so good the last 3 weeks for me). I've bought one for my wife and one for my mom now as well and no issues with any of em so far.

Im biased so I like the m4700 price point and upgrades but overall business line laptops tend to have good resale price tags

Does seem a bit thicker, but that does come with a nice dGPU too through right, and I option for either CD or extra HDD caddy correct?
