    yeah, that's what i figured...
BF sales on computers are typically reserved for low end stuff that won't make anyone with a general knowledge of computers excited
i did see a decent deal on a 17.3" intel core2duo t6600, 4gb, 250gb, hdmi, 4500mhd, for $450 from office depot, that would be perfect for my dad

Never wait for black Friday for a computer deal. Black Friday in my examination seems to be a time for these makers to get rid of there inventory/laptops that are about to be replaced. Its been this way for the last couple of years.

On the flip side there are great deal on accessories though(RAM, HDD, Keyboards/Mice, etc.)

I stopped going to best buy about a year ago. The one near me seems really crappy, poorly stocked and organized. I don't see anything in there that I can't get online. Just looks like junk to me...

I agree. It seems this year's deals at BB are an indication of the poor economic times we're experiencing. Regardless, there will always be people who camp out in front of the store on Thanksgiving Day to buy up whatever they can to sell on eBay later that afternoon.

I was telling my wife tonite that stuff on BF sales are the ones that people don't want to buy in the first place. It's like a last ditch effort to get the merchandise moving. Was at BB today and didn't really see any special sales except for a $479 HP 15.6" NB with a Pentium dual core.

the most annoying thing about Best Buy is that they are forcing people to wait in line (for a ticket)AT LEAST 2 hours before the Doorbuster Hours begin (at 5AM).

thats nuts... you are not even guaranteed to get most of it since stocks are usually in low quantities depending on the location.

.... I do not have to wait in line with the rest of the suckers though. ;)

been doing it for years now without failure.

So maybe if more people adopt this method of shopping on Black Friday, retailers will increase their inventory on door busters... or just change their store policy to circumvent it.

    Until then. :)

The alternative is to trample over a pregnant lady, or kill a Walmart greeter...but hey, plasma TV at 50% off, amirite?

the method is pretty much difficult to circumvent since the item is unopened and can be immediately restocked... so you tie their hands in trying to refuse a price adjustment.

you just come off looking like a smartass... but it is worth it. :D
