Use this post to find deals you may have not heard about yet, and add to this list if you have some inside info ;)

Tonight while browsing at BestBuy (yes I frequently go there for no reason :p ) I decided to checkout the notebook area for hints of some Black Friday deals. One of the most obvious ways to see whats going to be on sale is to look around for items in heavy stock. Some of these items might be in the racks, or some might just be piled up chest high on the floor. At my BestBuy location the following items started to increase tonight, some more resembling walls than a product display.

    Laptops:

Toshiba A135, 7 on the floor
Toshiba A215, 6 on the floor
HP dv6604, 5 on the floor

    Printers:
Canon mp210, about 1 billion on the floor
    HP Deskjet f4180, about 80

Attached is a picture of what used to be an open walkway at my BestBuy location.

Yowza, thats a pretty awesome deal. Too bad the price is so low that anyone is going to buy it if they see it.

The Vostro 1000 for $400 at Dell isn't a black friday deal per se, but it is a good deal going on right now.

How can I Buy Dell Vostro? I am a home user and i checked with Dell customer care, they told me that i should be having a small business, only then i can buy a Dell Vostro. Is there a way i can buy a vostro for my personal use?

Those reps are idiots. Go over to the Small Business section and order one. When it asks for a company name, either put 'personal use' or you name there.

Dell defines a small business as 1 or more people...and they don't care if you are not a small business.

    Thanks Greg!
But i noticed one thing, there are no taxes in Hime segment, but they are chrging taxes under Small business segments.
Currently are there any dicount coupons prevailing for Dell Vostro 1400..

    Thanks,
    Piyush

I only went out to circuit city for the 1tb western digital hdd (200$ after like 150$ instant +50$mir)

I got in the door pretty quick, but there were NONE there, I talked to two guys there on a friendly basis and they both told me, there were none there to start with.

Total BS, thats all I wanted. I thought about getting a Wii, as I kinda wanted one for a while, but they had none, nor did the wallmart down the road. I still want to wait for a Wii to be 200$ tho before I get one. Now I am kind of thinking about the 150$ zelda special edition Nintendo DS Lite with the game + system... but in the past I found myself always wanting a portable gaming system more than I actually used it. So I think I should pass and just keep on gaming with the laptop.

This was the worst black friday for me ever, came home empty handed.

For any of the big items, yes. For smaller stuff or stuff they have massive quantities of (movies and things) you can find some probably.

As a former CC employee I can tell you this is pretty standard practice for their sales. They print the things weeks before hand and don't bother replenishing stock at stores quick enough to guarantee the damn things will be on store shelves when the sale hits.
