I found all these from BF2005.com (they deserve the credit)

Huh, all AMD based deals too. Intel's going to lose some major market share if they don't get their processors into some of these cheaper notebooks that the stores seem to be gearing up to unleash after TG day.
These are all amazing deals, thanks for the post breezie, and definitely thanks to bf2005.com. -
ah, but the real question is which one to buy...
any possiblity on cracking any of these open and throwing in a MT Turion? -
yeah this is a good question. -
I don't see why not...if the motherboard has sempron support it should very well have support for these other cpus...maybe not, maybe they didn't add the support for other cpus in the bios...still a good possibility....wow these things are gonna make great christmas presents...
Cheers,
Mike -
Best Buy ads are out

noted is a toshiba celeron 15" notebook for $379, NO REBATES -
They started a laptop spec. thread.

I spent a little time to try to find those in each store's website and I will probably keep doing it, catching anything they miss. -
$299 for a laptop with 12 months of AOL at $23.99 a month for AOL. It doesn't make it as good a deal as the $400 HP at Wal-Mark or the $379 Toshiba at BestBuy in my opinion.
-
I personally think the Microcenter one is the best deal if you're willing to go there and sign up for a credit card. Plus it's not a black friday deal so you can do it now.
-
OK, What is the MicroCenter deal?

That $100 off with the Visa Credit card sign up is tempting (better than the usual stupid free t-shirt), but for those concerned with credit history remember that the more credit cards you have signed up for the worse it looks on your credit history record...so if you're applying for a loan or mortgage anytime soon might just want to pay the extra $100 and get a $499 laptop. Which isn't bad anyway.

They don;t have a laptop with a decent video card...

Which of these two Black Friday Notebook is the best deal? I can only stand in one line. The main difference appears to be the Processor (Celeron M 370-1.5GHz vs AMD Sempron 2800-1.6GHz). I assume that the AMD is better for graphics, but will also create more heat?
Best Buy $379
Toshiba L25 119
Intel Celeron M 370 (1.5GHz)

Close call, I think it boils down to which place will actually have it in stock on Friday morning. I know the Wal mart stock will be low. Is that BB deal no rebates needed? If so, I'd go with that.

Both these notebooks have no rebates and you pay $379 + tax, though since I am in Delaware, I pay no tax :-D -

Black Friday Not-So-Specials
The $299 notebook at CompUSA came with a mandatory 1 year of AOL
<yuck>
The $379 deal at Best Buy was a joke. The line was all the way around the building and then turned into the parking lot. It was raining.
The $448 deal at Circuit City--was practically nonexistantI got there at 2:30 in the morning and there had been people camped there all night who didn't get one--There were over 300 people in line, I started out to be about #50, and then about 150 people took cuts at the front (and I live in a civilized area) so the campers were defionately NOT happy campers. It turns out Circuit City only had FIFTEEN of the cheap Toshibas. They also ran out of the printer/copier/fax that came free after rebate with any purchase of a computer by the time I got in.
I ended up buying a Compaq for about $750 or $800 back at Circuit city because it has a Kewl graphics card and a pretty good screen.
This was my first and my last Black Friday effort. In the future, I will sleep in. -
****.. what's the fuss for....If you are going to invest $400 into a laptop you might as well pay a little more to get a much better computer... I bought my emachines w4605 brand new on ebay for $599. (retails at wal-mart for $797) It shipped with a sempron 2800 and 512 pc2700.... but the best part is...it's UPGRADABLE to an athlon 64 3700 and up to 2gigs of pc3200.. I saved tons and will slowly watch for a good deal to upgrade the ram and cpu.

Getting a new credit card will drop your credit score around 10-20 points. Having a new credit cards (under 3 years) hurts the score a little. www.freecreditreport.com

My GUESS would be you can get one at that price IF you open up a credit card there AND charge it on it.
