They are offering a free 32 GIG IPOD or Asus EEE with the opening of a checking account. The add appears in the Delaware County Daily Times news paper. I am heading to the bank later this week, will post results soon.
See Link 5 below, I did not bother I would not be able to meet requirements. Kudos to garetjax and all replies.

Nothing wrong with bank promos :p

TD Canada Trust was offering 50$ to anyone who opened a chequing account Dec 2010 I believe and had a student card.

I got the 50$, closed the account a month later.

Looks like they learned their lesson this time. Much more strigent requirements to obtain your "free" swag for opening an account with them:

I don't agree. I was ready to switch banks so I moved over to Bryn Mawr Trust last fall and got my iPod Touch 32 GB by December, just in time for Christmas. It was an awesome gift that I use everyday. They seem to be a good bank with good customer service and have branches all over. Take the bait if you want out of your current bank.

well, the fine print should always be read and some might be ok if you plan on staying. but if you plan on taking the "candy" and running don't get mad if you end up on a milk bottle somewhere.
