    I think Wal-Mark is selling a $400 HP on black friday if you can wait a few weeks.

    Does anyone think that the Compaq V2405 mentioned above is a good deal. My wife would just be using it for word processing, internet and spreadsheets. I could upgrade
    the RAM myself to 1GB and it will still be under $750.

    Yes sure Z, just comparison shopping is all the fun. The technology keeps improving and the prices keep going down. Just reading the reports, both the models mentioned seem to have great screens for DVD viewing, decent power, and good wireless at the sub 600 price range. I probably would lean toward the Compaq because of its smaller size and weight. Better tech support?

    Is this one of those put up a tent and wait on line specials, if so no thanks.
