So in all reality, this is actually $51.99 with a 10% chance of getting that $20 MIR.
Rebates = Fail -
Greg, i have never once had an issue with rebates. Well, i am still waiting on 1/2 of them from my last pc build, but they will come...i hope...
-
Oh, I sure did
. I supposedly should have had $40 rebate off my Radeon 4850, but after I sent everything in they told me I was missing the packing slip, and I had like a week to comply, but I never got a packing slip. To top it all off, I had to leave for China the next day and didn't get back until two weeks later. So, $40 down the drain

I have never had a problem with a rebate that I had not caused myself by failing to comply with the rules. If I have questions (ie. they ask for something I cannot provide, I contact them immediately to find out about my options).
The thing about rebates is that you really need to keep on top of them. I mark them on my calendar. But I am also very successful in getting my rebates with very little effort on my part. -
I've gotten every rebate I've sent out so far, but you do have to be careful beyond just following directions. I always google the name of any rebate company before I buy the product to see user experiences. You'll get lots of rantings from people who didn't follow instructions, but it's easy to tell the legit (if OCD about instructions) company from the ones that just never pay out.

this deall is only worth while if Corsair gives me my rebate. Which really means that this deal is 50/50.

Oh, and one thing that a lot of people don't know - if you follow all the instructions, submit the rebate, and the rebate company simply doesn't send you your check - then you can contact newegg. I've heard from a lot of customers who have gotten reimbursed by the egg for scam rebates. Another reason why I love that site.

It's down another $4 today. At this rate, it'll be free by next week

I`d get it while it`s hot.
I payed 85$ for my 32 GB patriot XT...
