    I now have 3 1TB Cavalry drives on one computer, and 2 WD 1TB MyBooks on another. :)

    That's a lot of storage you have there!

    This is a good deal. I'd buy one, but I already have 2 500gb ext hard drives :)

    True! The funny thing is that back in 2007, I was making do with 80gb hard drives on each of two old 2003 vintage Sony Vaio desktops.

    I ended up really beefing up my computer array in early 2008, and embarked on a project to backup most of my MANY DVDs to externals. I also now have a ton of portable externals I use when I am travelling for movies, etc.

    Alas, the Sony Vaios are gone, and I have an HP desktop with 750gb alone, as well as several laptops.

    I just got mine, but when I connect it through eSata the highest speed rates I get are around 70mbps, not 3gbs. Any ideas why?
