I have one of these, and it's been great so far (~half a year's usage). Except I got mine for $75.

    Haha, thanks ;)

I forgot to mention: Unlike Fantom (another company that produces similarly-low-priced drives), Cavalry does return mail-in rebates, so you can expect to get the $35 back. I received my $30 rebate about 2 months after sending it in.

This drive includes an eSATA adapter kit, which few other drives include, for much less than even some USB 2.0-only drives. Great deal on a great drive :)

Darn it. I bought a docking station and a seagate 1tb 7200.12 hdd all for $105 AR. Though I have to admit my fully exposed drive is really quiet and cool than my hitachi drive inside my laptop.

What hdd brand model did you get? Then again opening it voids your warranty unless you have x-ray vision lol. What's the noise level when it's idle/active?

I got a Hitachi 7200RPM drive, according to HDTune. It is quite loud and quite warm when it's active (as are the other Hitachi desktop drives I have - I greatly prefer Seagate drives, they're much quieter and cooler), but it's much quieter when it's idling/doing little (such as torrenting). However, half the people seem to have gotten WD Caviar Green 5400RPM drives, which are supposed to be much cooler and quieter, at the cost of lower transfer speed (only makes a difference over eSATA).
