So..... for those who have been to a Circuit City, is there any actual "deals" on and DSLRs? I ask because the closest CC is like 50 mins away, and i don't feel like driving out there to buy nothing xD

The time I went the prices were still higher than you could get anytime online. I doubt its worth it to drive that far.

It's been widely reported, both here and elsewhere, that there are no real deals at CC during their liquidation.

CC is no longer running the show. The inventory/stores have been turned over to liquidation companies which, typically, jack up the prices to sometimes above MSRP, and then discount down from there. Also, many liquidation companies sell of stocks of high demand items directly to other retailers.

In addition, there are no returns on items bought from CC during the liquidation. No buyers remorse permitted, then.

If you have a problem with the item, there is also no return/exchange. You must go through the manufacturer even if the item is DOA.

The BB near me is next door to a CC. Last time I was there, I saw lots of people going in and out of CC but not a single one was carrrying a purchase.

    Not worth the drive.

Just save that money on gas and use it for something else better. 3 CCs I've been to don't carry a good dang deal, not a single one. Everything is just as expensive.

I believe late March is the latest all stores will be shut down but that some will close earlier than others, I hear some even in a couple of weeks.

I don't think I would make any big purchases at CC, probably just small things like games and DVDs because of no return policy. 40% off all games like the Fallout 3 Collectors Edition sounds enticing. :)
