Office Depot has the Compaq Presario C552US notebook for $379.99 after $200.00 MIR + $20.00 IR.

    • Intel Celeron-M 520
    • 15.4" BrightView Widescreen
    • 512MB DDR2 memory
    • 80GB hard drive
    • CDRW/DVD Combo Drive
    • Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics
    • 6 cell battery
    • Altec Lansing speakers
    • Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic Edition
    • Integrated 802.11b/g wireless LAN

You can find it on their web site or in store with the product number: 662330, or you can look in your stack of junk mail for this weeks Office Depot circular. It's on the first page.

As many of you know, the 520 is essentially a Celeron labeled 1.6GHz Core 2 Solo (with less cache), making it a reasonably performing mobile processor.

if I upgrade the RAM, how would this work as a mobile Photoshop platform? It would be a secondary computer for when i am on the go, not at my workhorse desktop.

Should work just fine with more RAM. Remember that battery life will leave much to be desired though since the Celeron M doesn't have SpeedStep.
