This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Office Depot has the Compaq Presario R3000Z for $400 after rebates. It is in store only. You buy it at an in store kiosk, so it is upgradeable. You can upgrade to the Athlon64 if desired. It has the GeForce 4 440 video card. I had a Presario with the Athlon 2800, it a fast little machine. Definetly upgrade to the 12 cell battery, it is a $25 upgrade. It is good until tuesday:
