These things are invaluable I think, I effectivly replaced my $60.00 laptop cooler with these $1.00 balls a few years back when I had my Asus W90.

Super light, easy to pack, it will effectively give you that nice tilt to your laptop that cooling pad does so it makes it more ergonomic, also in many cases the raised laptop will run cooler since it can get air into the vents easier.

No laptop should require a active cooler if it is working properly, as is the case with mine, I just used it mainly for the tilt. But this was way easier to pack & manage.

So since they are on sale for $0.99 why not get some?

I wonder if these will be more effective then the two pink pearl erasers I am currently using? Well for a buck I can at least now use the erasers for actually erasing stuff.

 

Something else I like about these, pick up the front of my laptop and can move it around a desk/table freely to reposition it

Yep 2 of them, and some little self stick velcro pads that you put on the bottom of your laptop to hold them in place, and you take them off when you pack your laptop into a bag.

 

i THINK vicious introduced me to these in an older thread, but i can vouch for these little things. they work really well. as some of u may know, i'm really into laptop cooling, and have used/owned many different solutions. these cool balls have replaced all of my portable stands/coolers cuz they are just so convenient.

i already have 4 sets, but might have to get some more just because. hey vicious, do u know if these ship from the USA? the last ones i ordered were shipped from china and took forever.

 

I do not know, the one set I got was from china (meritline) these are from a different store but probably still originate from china.

lol that's exactly what i did! i was tired of seeing my buddies' laptops get super hot while we're LAN'ing or something. i can't stand hearing/seeing a laptop's fans blazing at warp speeds. poor laptop i even gave another one of my buddies my targus x-stand. that little thing was $30~ bucks!

***IMPORTANT TIP!!!***
make sure u don't place your velcro pieces too close to exhaust vents, mainly on gaming or laptops with mid-high end hardware, because the heat will cause the sticky stuff on the velcro to heat up and shift a bit. if u do place the cool balls near an exhaust vent, just make sure it has about a half an inch to an inch of space around it. that'll give it ample room to shift a bit. if u put it too close to the outer edge, the sticky piece might shift too much and end up hanging off the edge a bit.

 

I submitted a request for credit and we'll see. I'll get two more pairs of balls if they will allow that. Then I can give everyone some balls instead of telling them to get their own.

How do these work with the G73? Does it feel like the back is raised too much?

it's not a very extreme angle. it only lifts your laptop about an inch. i bought extra sets for my buddies, and 2 of them happen to have G73's. i haven't heard of any problems or complaints yet. just make sure u don't place your stickies too close to an exhaust or the glue will shift a bit due to the heat.
