Frys has the Crucial 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2-667 PC2-5300 Notebook (SODIMM) Memory for $70 - $40 Rebate = $30 with free shipping.

$70-$40 rebate = $70 after you get shafted.
-
Yep, rebates are not the greatest unless they are "instant".

I just purchased the fry's crucial 2 gb memory for my eee at $10 after rebate, now that I have 2 eee's (mine + moms) would have been nice to spend a bit more and just get 2. I could always go dual channel in my G2S now
.
@Greg: Why do you say "shafted"? Does Crucial not honor their mail-in rebates or does Crucial have a bad memory/warranty track record? -
-
I hate rebates.
Most people(including me) never get around to it because it such a hassle and takes about 3 months to even get back.
It is a good deal though but I don't need it currently. -
i just bought 4gb (2x2) of OCZ pc 6400... 70-20rebate.... the cheapest good brand pc2-6400 lets see what happens to my rebate >_<

o, ic, thank you. I am a rebate guy, and have only had one go south due to my own error. You are right, they are very easy to screw up and put off, but if you are diligent about completing the rebate before opening the product, it seems to work, at least, for me.

already bought this for my laptop, now im just waiting for it to arrive. most if not all of my past rebates have arrived, they just take too long!
-
So far I have submitted 3 rebates for products I have gotten from Frys in the past 1-2 months. 3/3 all arrived.
They give you a website to check your rebate status. -
Thanks for pointing this out. I ordered my laptop with 1GB (Dell wanted $127) to install 4GB. So this memory will be very cost effective. I ordered it last night and it was in route to me today. I'll get it Friday. I've processed one rebate through fry's.com on an LCD display and it was honored so I hope this will be no different. I noticed none of the local stores had it in stock so maybe it is a clearance item.
