meh... its an officially unsupported game from EA. why pay $20 for it? it should basically be free, or maybe $4.99-$9.99

I just love when they put these things on sale. Will this work on an ATI 3650 you think?

This system won't run medium shaders/shadows at a decent res, I wouldn't bother.

It'd be even cooler if that little truck(thing) came with it! VROOOOOOM!

You'll be running the game in DX9 @ 1024 x 768. Not sure how the 1gig of ram will affect performance but if it doesn't then you should be able to play with medium textures and physics and maybe shaders on some of the non-ice non zero-g levels.
Also: the patched version will bring performance up 10-15% and fix alot of bugs :)

Yeah, Crysis uses a lot of RAM so that 1 gb is a problem. Also that x1600 is fairly old tech, it doesn't have the new SM 3.0.

And the patches didn't change much, tbh. I only noticed performance increases by playing around with mods. The drivers helped alot more than patches for me.

The RAM helps a lot with loading new textures. RAM was the last thing I upgraded on my desktop. When I had 1GB it took around 5 mins to load a level, then there was another minute or so when I watched the textures slowly load in. If you don't have enough RAM then it starts accessing the swap file on the HDD, which is very bad. Once you do get past the loading parts, it actually plays decently on 1GB.

Well despite my laptop flaws I went to my local gamestop and bought it anyways. They were surprise to see it at 19.99 and I bought the last copy! I have yet to install, I might wait till I get a new laptop to do so because I have less than 5 gigs in my HD. And yea I know I need more ram... Is there a site that can tell me what kind of ram I need and where is the cheapest?
