Newegg is usually ok with packaging, although that item in the pic is unacceptable.

    Wow. That is horrible. :(

I've heard horror stories about NewEgg's packaging. I have not encountered any problems, though. I am hesitant to order an OEM CPU from them, though. It sounds like it's just tossed loosely in a box with the motherboard. So many reviews say that they had to unbend as many as twenty pins before it would fall into the socket on their motherboard. It's a shame because they have some awesome combo deals for the motherboard that I want and a decent enough processor. I'll probably end up splurging and getting a combo with a retail CPU to avoid that problem.

Nobody else seems to offer such attractive combo deals. The savings for my particular combination choice are about $23.

At least this deal on the 80GB SSD is really cool. I love that at the price you get an SSD from a reputable manufacturer, the necessary adapter to allow it to fit in a 2.5" bay, and the migration kit. Not bad at all! I wish I had the extra scratch to pick one up.

And I must say, that's horrible packaging. I never had a problem with them, though, and I've bought several items from them already.

I keep hearing people discussing Newegg's poor packaging, yet luckily, I've never had one of those experiences. I find that the company occasionally overpackages some items such as putting one small item in a medium box filled to the top with pacakge peanuts. However, that image just frightens me. I bought one of these and the package was a bit suspect as well. It came in a medium sized box with the bottom filled with that brown packaging paper and the SSD was at the top with no paper to protect the top, making the box lopsided. This SSD is still a great deal, though the 80GB X-25M for $225 is also great.
