You are better off buying one online.

But if you just want to look around, check out J&R (4/5/6 train to Brooklyn Bridge), jandr.com - they have a lot of laptops on display. One of the two stores on the east coast that showcase Fujitsu laptops, and the other one has retarded sales reps. "Umm no P4 doesn't make a lot more heat than PM, so just buy this laptop that we have in stock, it's just as good as the one that we don't." Psyche.

What are you looking for? TAXes in NYc are outrageous! S&H is cheaper. Do not forget to check the used stuff for sale in here.
Note: An online ebay store may be cheaper than an eBay auction  .
eBay has a lot of them, I bought 2 barebones there so far, + all the guts. Still looking for a large PATA HDD & WiFi card deal.

I'll reiterate the advice above: NYC isn't the place to go shopping for this kind of thing. Taxes and con-artists. You're much better off buying from a reputable online dealer.

EdF well, I'm mexican, so I don't have to pay taxes - well, I have to, but then the tax is returned when I leave the country :)

Anyway, even with taxes, I bet I would end up paying more if i buy it here, or from an american online dealer
