Does that mean if I buy a $2000 laptop that I could get $500 cashback as long as I haven't exceeded the $2500 per calendar year? That sounds too good go be true :)

And thanks for such a quick response!!

NP, :) Just don't go over the $2,500 limit in Cashback Savings and you will be fine (see below, taken from the Cashback FAQ)

From Bing: Is there a limit to how much cashback savings I can get?

You can earn up to $2,500 in cashback savings every calendar year. We want cashback rewards to go to a broad variety of consumers who search and shop on Bing for their personal purchases. We recommend that you review the balance of cashback rewards available in your account before making a purchase to make sure that you are credited with cashback rewards from your qualifying purchases and don't exceed your annual limit.

If you're looking at this for a main monitor, I *highly* recommend checking out the U2211H and U2311H. eIPS and the price isn't all that bad.

Right now I'm trying to find out if I will finally have an office back at UIUC, because if I do than I need to order a few necessities.

Oh man, any laptops that could substitute for an Acer 3820TG/4820TG or Envy 14? I know the m11x, but I'd like a 13-14". Does Dell have any laptop of that size with an nvidia 335m or ATI 5650 (or comparable) GPU?

Oh those are 2 are really nice monitors. Is there a big diff. bet the U2211H & the U2410? (besides the U2410 being a 24")

Would you know tomorrow if you will have an office back at UIUC? Bing is ending tomorrow, anyways : (

The CB on the Starcraft II for $59.99 brings it to about $44.99 if anyone is interested, and there is a Wii (Black) Summer 2010 Bundle for $169.99 that brings it to about $127.49 ($42.50) after Bing!

The most important part - the eIPS technology - is found in all those monitors. If you want the U2410 go for it; bigger is better if you can afford and use it.

Looking back at my emails I've got a room number and everything confirmed, and it seems that I might getting a workstation as well so major equipment isn't needed :D.

Ironically enough when I moved out to CA for this temporary position in Silicon Valley the one package that got stolen from USPS was the package that had all of my security locks. I do need to replace though so I'm looking around at what's available now (some of the multi-device locks are awesome!).

It really seems that the 25% off at Dell is really only useful for Dell products. Usually a quick hunt through the regular tech sites and I can find the same thing for within a few dollars (no rebate) as the price after BCB/Dell. YMMV.

Anyone know where to get a few more of those square-ish adapters that are pictured with this kit? The two that are in the upper right picture specifically.

Picked up the U2311H, couldn't quite justify the jump to the U2411. Also picked up a Panasonic BD85 Blu-Ray player. Hopefully the cashback comes through before Bing closes down!

Wow 25% nice, eat 7% for tax though but still a great deal.

Today last day... Kind thinking about a DSLR lens purchase.

Edit: Darn they have the 150-500mm Sigma but not the 50-500mm the one I want. They also do have one great lens the 18-250mm but I already have the 18-200mm.

For bodies I have a D70 would upgrade to D90 but they do not have it. They do have the D300s but thats kind of overkill for me. They have the Canon 7D as well but not the T2i

Dell does more than computers, with the 25% off (even after 7% tax) this is the cheapest I have found these items.

I'm a sucker. Ordered my third U2311h for my future eyefinity setup. I'm using two for work right now. It actually ends up the same price as when I got them before. They were $300 at release and there was a 20% off coupon. I wanted the 16:10 U2410, but the price difference is just too much for me to justify.

FYI here are the differences between the dell Ultrasharp monitors:
    U2211H 21.5" 1920x1080 16:9 eIPS (DVI, D-Port, VGA)
    U2311H 23" 1920x1080 16:9 eIPS (DVI, D-Port, VGA)
    U2410 24" 1920x1200 16:10 H-IPS (DVI, D-Port, VGA, HDMI)

eIPS is the cheaper version of IPS, but they are still a lot better than TN and PVA/MVA panels in terms of viewing angles.
H-IPS is the more expensive type and offers the best in viewing angles and color.

Tinting issues have plagued some of the U2311H's so you might find that one side of your LCD has a little orange tint or blue. I got one good one and one bad one. Its not that big of a deal so I have exchanged it yet, but I definitely will.

Well between the tax and shipping, 25% BCB is worthless when you can find an online vendor (*cough* Amazon *cough*) that has the same thing for cheaper, no tax, and free shipping. Sucks for Dell :D.

I wanted a new lens for my camera and it cost $80 more at Dell than Newegg. After BCB it's $50 cheaper at Dell.....really doesn't feel like 25% off anymore. :(

I think I need to see if newegg does anything today.

I hope you have better luck on exchange than I did. Exchanging my bad U24010's was the worst customer service experience i ever had in my whole life.

They totally did not take care of me and it was so frustrating.

    Edit: Quick but important question.

I know there is a $2500.00 max per year limit but is there a per transaction limit? I recall there being a limit of I think $200.00 max refund per transaction on ebay but I think that was ebay only.

I just browsed the terms & conditions for bing cashback and saw the $2500.00 yearly limit but did not see anything notated for a per transaction limit. So I just want to make absolute sure before I tell my friend to buy a Nikon D300s from Dell.com ($1600.00 aka $400 cashback) if he only gets $200.00 back then I can get it cheaper from another site.

I hope you can still sign up and create an account today.

There is no "per transaction" limit at BCB (except eBay afaik). I asked when I get my HP Envy 14 @ 30% BCB with a big fat $544 sitting there waiting to clear...

Now would be a good time to buy a console too since they're all 25% off too. Do a search for 'Playstation 3' and it shows up. Probably all games too.

I've been on the phone with the Dell most of the morning talking about returning my two day old Canon 550D and getting a Canon 7D with 25% BCB but it's been like pulling teeth. With the 25% over I lost my advantage. :(

I do too. Sadly Dell seems to be the safest bet for Monitor exchanges. Some companies like Newegg or Tigerdirect can be very strict or if its drop shipped they won't even accept returns. I think right now the problem for Dell is that LG is having issues producing good panels so there have been lots of complains about tinting and other issues. Even if you exchange what are the odds you'll get a good one if so many have issues. You almost have to wait until a revision comes out.

At this point I have to ask myself that all the time. Even during the overstock 30% sale.

Sometimes you should just pull the trigger. Order the 7D and then figure out if you can return the old one. You could always cancel later. Oh well though.
