Yeah i thought so too! Add the LED backlit screen for only 25 more. Not too shabby. If only it had a higher resolution screen. It seems really low for a 15.6" on the vertical size.

Does seem kind of low. That's a problem with 16:9 screens, the only two official standards are 1366x768 and 1920x1080. The first is to low and the second is to high for smaller notebooks. :p

Yeah. I wish they'd adopt maybe a 1600x900 screen. That would make 16:9 not so bad.

Don't really like the consumer Dells, but great find nevertheless! $479 is a great deal.

Looks like you forgot you "say" you have a M1730 in your signature. Might as well update that sig to the 9800GT in SLI since thats the highest option now. I see you have the high end Macbook to go with your high end overclocked Dell.

dell 1545 is a trash, period.
i decided to return a new 1545 with p2.53 after playing with it for 5 minutes.
looks ugly, wled is a fasle advertisement, its not the same led as studio15.
overall new inspiron 15 is even worse than dell 1525.
and i thought 1525 was the worst dell laptop ever made.
dell has surprised us all again!

I played around with one at Sam's Club the other day, and I actually thought it was a pretty decent computer. No it wasn't as nice as the Studio 15 next to it, but it was also several hundred dollars cheaper. You get what you pay for, and I can say that the 1545 is a very nice computer for under $500, way better than a comparable 15 inch Acer you buy at Wal-Mart on sale that feels like a toy the plastics are so thin and keyboard so cheap.

Ha, are you kidding me? I've owned that laptop for three years and it's been working perfectly.
