It is cheaper. If you buy a 35% off EPP coupon from ebay, and then get a year year service plan you can get 12% off the total purchase. I ordered this 2 days ago.

    ntel® Core™ Duo Proc T2500 (2GHz/667MHz/2 X 1MB L2 Cache

Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005
FREE! 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz
    60GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 Internal Wireless and Bluetooth
    256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7900 GS
53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
80 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Additional Battery
    Integrated Audio
3 Year Limited Warranty plus 3 Year At-Home Service plus Nights and Weekend
SAVE 10 %! Add CompleteCare Accidental Damage Svc to 3Yr Lim Warranty

    The best part?

The total price TAX and shipping 1499.74
    12%EPP + 35% off EPP inspiron coupon

My notebook compared to the other has 2 more years of service, with accidental damage, media center, he has a 60gig HDD vs 120gig HDD, I have bluetooth. I have integrated Audio where he doesn't, and I have an extra 6 cell battery.

On the note of the battery, they charge something like $99 just to upgrade it, where you can pay about $129 for a whole new 9 cell battery, and if I feel like it I can just ebay the included one, for more than $40 I'm sure.

To get rid of boredom waiting for my unit to get here I configured one just as you did.

I came up with 2,033.68 as a subtotal, and if you purchase a 35% off coupon your subtotal changes to 1321.90

It's for order code A4678B2. This is the unit with the 3 year service plan, even if you don't want it, it ends up saving you more money than if you don't get it.
