    F.A.Q

    What is EPP?
It's an Employee/Educational Personal Purchase discount.

    Do I qualify?
Check with your employer or school IT dept.

    What is DPA?
Dell Preferred Account. It's like a Dell credit card and you don't get interest for 12 months on XPS purchases.

I can't see my DPA discount???
When checking out, you must choose any type of payment, except DPA. Then, from the drop down menu, choose DPA again, and your 4% discount will show up. To verify it, just view your cart again! :D

My work/school email doesn't go through?
Note: You must use your official company email so that we can confirm your eligibility. If you have difficulty obtaining your coupon, please send an email to [email protected] with your name, company name, email address entered below, phone number and "APRIL" in the subject line. Limit one coupon per eligible employee.

Can I return the lowjack software and downgrade the warranty and RAM?
Probably not! This was highly possible on the good old days... Dell got smart and knows this trick, and most reps are aware of it. If you are "very lucky", you may get some credit...

Can I expect a better deal?
Absolutely... The best deals are during November through January. However, if you need a laptop now, this is a good deal!!!

    Good luck :D

Don't you have to be a Dell employee to access all those discounts? Can u make an account just like that, without being an actuall Dell man? What about this e-coupons? They are asking your company e-mail to check eligibility, can you make an account and receive a coupoun if you are a normal client?

What does it mean Student, Faculty and Staff Store?

It's slightly better if you upgrade so that your total exceeds $2377 since -$599 and 10% gives you $1600+ and then instead of additional 8% off, you get 12% and I prefer not using DPA. Which gives a total of $1408+. Good deal OP!

edit: plus free 3-5 day shipping! :)

This is true. I just ordered one..not for me, for my parents to give to my little brother when he graduates. This is a great deal!

Rep for you (when I can, I've given out too much lately)! :)

Also, note that if you go for the 4 year warranty for ~$80 more, you can get a $70 gift card back, meaning you are only paying $10 for the extra year, assuming that you spend the gift card! :)

PLUS: does anybody know until when is this deal going to last? thank you

I don't know when the deal will expire. Dell is like Bush, you never know what they will come up with :D

I've tried to enter my e-mail into the system and had no luck. I do work for an EPP member, and have sent e-mails to the "Dell_Special_Programs" e-mail listed on the page but have not received a reply. Anyone had a reply from that system? Or have people been using free account e-mails (AOL, Juno or GMail) to obtain the coupon with success?

hcp, thanks for the info and instructions! I just ordered mine, with LED, and paid $1343. The tip on how to make the DPA discount appear was especially helpful. Rep to you. And for those that may be AAA members, they have Dell discounts too. Search their site, get a coupon mailed to you and follow the link.

Also when I tried to sign up for the coupons using an AOL address, it said that it did not accept aol.com addresses.

In fact.. ku.edu, usd497.org (both legit) and sbcglobal.net don't work either.. tried on FF and IE.. what is going on..

Note: You must use your official company email so that we can confirm your eligibility. If you have difficulty obtaining your coupon, please send an email to [email protected] with your name, company name, email address entered below, phone number and "APRIL" in the subject line.
