Just keep trying. Dell is constantly updating their inventory and systems show up all the time. It's refresh purgatory, but persistence is key.

Man, alot of these systems are really speced out, 256GB SSDs, 8GB 1333MHz RAM, QX9300. ect.

I would say the RAM kinda inflates the price a little but overall, good find. Keep it before it's gone again lol!!

Ack! I just got one which was previously ordered new.... it's not the best M15X ever but it has the 260M, 9 Cell Battery, 6GB Ram, 500GB HDD, and 1900x1020 screen - only downfall is the I3-330M Processor but I can get it for $993 after the coupon which is WAY cheaper than I can find anything else.... what do you guys think of this?

 

Do it. You can always upgrade the proc if you want to.

I think I shoulda sprung for Faster shipping, I went and did 3-5 day since it was the free option, but I will finally be a part of the Alienware family!

Hopefully the Cosmic Black isn't a complete fingerprint magnet on the 15X (Or at least not quite as much as the M11!)

As long you have the 1080p resolution, you're good. everything can be upgraded without costing an arm and leg later down the line.

thanx man , yea see I would only upgrade the drive and maybe the gpu 2 years from now but the cpu is aswome, I was going to keep my envy 15 but I think I will return that for this.

 

The 260M is currently the highest offered by AW in the M15x but many have been buying third party ATI 5870 cards and installing them with no issues. It's a huge upgrade.

 

but for rts gaming the gtx is fine for now right? I am wondering how much better the 5830 or the 5850 is? also how hard is it to switch the drive and does it void warranty.

Yeah, I spent 3 hours waiting for a config that cheap to come up, it was $1089 before discount.

I returned my ENvy 15 the next day after I received it. Plus the Envy 15 get hot as a frying pan when idling .They sent me a used one too, which I spent $1500.00 for a new one, It had blemish and dull patch on top of laptop. Glad I sent it back.
