Says it all really...

-
This is false advertising, the ad says "any system for $699 or more" I tried to configure an Alienware and it does not work.
-
Did you actually add the Streak to the cart?
The discount only shows once it's added - the price of the Streak is listed as $579.99 but it has a $480 discount on it.
See my screenshot: -
Does it come with or with out a contract?
-
I'm guessing without, given the discount is against the full value of the handset, not a contract-subsidised value.
But I don't know, I'm not even from the US. -
-
Just seems to be you with the problem...
-
Damn, if this was available in Australia I'd be all over it

spradhan01 Notebook Virtuoso
how can I add the streak for $99?
When I search and add the streak, it shows the retail price in checkout? -
^^follow the instructions on the link in OP's post?
Nice deal OP! : ) -
spradhan01 Notebook Virtuoso
I followed that.
Where can I find step 3? -
-
At "Review My Summary" Page:
Click "Add to Cart" (>>>adding order to cart)
Next Page at: CART SUMMARY:
ON right hand side you will see ESSENTIAL ADD ONS:
"Add a 5" Streak tablet for $99 on Systems over $699. Discount applied when added to cart"
Click: ADD TO CART
Next Page at: "Cart Summary"
You will see the Streak added on 2nd column.
It will show the price of $579.99 and underneath in GREEN you will see a price of -$480.79 = Leaving it at $99.99 price
Next Page: you will be taken to checkout where it will show the full details of your purchase, etc. -

Still I can't get it.
I don't get the essentials add-on tab???
ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting -
Yeah, I tried that model also, and couldn't get it to work. So, perhaps it is only for certain Models.........: (
-
@blasterbeam: it looks like you're adding the Streak to the cart first, which is the wrong thing to do. Not to mention, you've somehow contrived to select the Streak on a contract as opposed to SIM-free.
Cin' has kindly posted step-by-step guide on how to redeem the offer.
Try doing it that way.
Also, I'm no familiar enough with the M11x to know what you mean by 'R1' and 'R2'.
@spradhan: your screenshot is so small I have no idea what laptop you're trying to buy. -
spradhan01 Notebook Virtuoso
it was inspiron 17r.
-
Obviously I don't know how you were configuring it but I just tried adding a number of differently-configured Inspiron 17Rs to the cart and every time the link for the Streak was there to the top-right, exactly as per Cin's instructions...

Can you see if it works in this model?
The Dell Online Store: Build Your System -
That's only $649.99 - how else did you configure it?
-
spradhan01 Notebook Virtuoso
You can just add memory, gpu, hdd making it total of $820.
-
Topped out the memory, HDD and GPU which makes it $825.
And yep, I can and have added the Streak for $99.
$923.99 total. -
spradhan01 Notebook Virtuoso
Having the specs for $825 doesn't give me the essentials window at all...
weird! -
If you have an account with Dell, you could PM me the details and I could log in and save the cart for you, if you're after this deal.
Obviously, if you want to do that though, be sure to change your password to something temporary before PMing me and change it back after I'm finished. -
-
I can't see an M11x with a Core2 CPU - just i5 and i7 options.
How are you finding it on the site? -
-
But how're you getting to that page?
When I follow the link I posted on the first page, then click on 'Shop All Laptops' and filter the results to only show 11-14" models, the M11x with Core2 CPU isn't there. -
I guess because you are not in the usa
-
I doubt that's it, it's not re-directing me to the UK site or anything like that.
I think the two are probably related - the reason why it's not listed properly may also be why it's not part of the offer.
If you're looking to take the M11x and the Streak for $99, why not contact Dell and ask what's up? -
This is a really nice deal. The Dell Streak looks pretty nice.
