You cancel the DPA account after you pay off the laptop or anything you buy.

So essentially it's a free 4%? There's no fee or anything for signing up and/or canceling a DPA account?

That's correct. There are no fees for signing up or cancelling your DPA account...

Can someone give more in depth directions for an XPS M1530? I'm a little confused, but got the EPP coupon. Also, can you customize/add on using this?

u can customize and add on this

just follow the link to dell.... customize ur stuff (i recommend the $80 4th yr warranty with $70GC).... then add to cart

    at cart, apply coupon

    then checkout

i wont go for the DPA...its a credit pull, and open+close a credit account is bad for credit rating.... unless u have stellar credit rating in the first place

Now that UPS lost that $799 Gateway M-6851 I order, and Costco.com is refunding me, and have no more....

    Finding....it....hard....to...resist....XPS...
    Must....resist....

Man - that is such a SWEET deal - it's a "couple hunerd" more than I wanted to spend, but with the DPA and 12mos no interest, it's affordable.

    Must...resist...

Please....someone tell me why I should NOT buy this...

Oh - AntiNvidia GPU-Will-burn-in-h3ll fanboys need not apply.
    I mean a REAL reason :D

Like, does it have a video-only HDMI output, or some other such strange deficiency?

I think that price includes 2Y warranty + accident.
Click the link and check it - I think $80 or so makes it 3 years.

It starts off with 3 years. Adding 4 mentions nothing about complete care.

What's complete care? Is the on-site + accident, or a different package altogether?

Complete Care is the accidental coverage.

Complete care = Accidental damage + warranty

all dell xps laptops are loaded in 32bit

u can use the cdkey under ur laptop to activate a 64bit version of the same version (eg 32bit homepremium activates 64bit home premium)

for the 64bit DVD itself, either
    1) u ordered ultimate or business, dell is obligated to send it to you if you request on the phone
    2) if u ordere dhome premium, out of luck.... think microsoft offers 64bit but u have to pay shipping.... or ask a friend for his x64 DVD, use ur CDKey to activate

Well, if THAT'S the case, the machines listed included both extended warranty AND accidental damage. At least *I* saw that...

I don't see what the deal is....
If you follow the link in the OP, you get a config WITH inhome service AND accidental damage for 3 years INCLUDING LoJack.
Price shows $1299, because no discounts have been applied yet - they do that on checkout.
