Here's a side deal for members of woot.com from cowboom.com. Looks like a really good deal on the XPS M1730. Has a pretty decent 8700M GT video card, not to mention a nice WUXGA resolution screen, good processor and a good amount of hard drive space. It's factory sealed, brand new and comes with all the CD's and documentation. $600+$10= $610 total (tax may or may not be included depending on shipping address).

Be careful. Cowboom does not have the best reputation. It's a good deal with the WUXGA screen as long as it is new and has the normal Dell wattanty.

I rather doubt it, but there currently out of stock so it's hard to say. But if you could it would be a refurb while this one is new. The time to buy a M1730 was when they cleared them out to make way for the new Alienware laptop a few weeks ago for $999 with duel GPUs. That was one of the best deals I've seen in my four years of notebook deal seeking.

No, I'm not really into gaming. I prefer 13-14 inch for lugging around campus. Still as good as that deal was I was very tempted to sang one although I don't rightly know what I would have done with it since I don't game. LOL

Not a bad deal for M1730, a single 8700m stinks, but for a new sealed laptop not bad at all.

That was a crazy deal, I saw it too late. It was more a pricing mistake though, a lot of the orders got cancelled.

Was it? I wondered about that. Didn't bother to follow along and see if the orders ever got filled though. What a shame.
