Hi, this is my 1st post. I'm an 18 yr old recent high school grad looking for a laptop for college. My budget is around $1500 and below. I was looking at some Asus computers until I fell upon this Dell coupon that offers $750 off a $1999 Inspiron. I customized it all the way up to about $2200 and was completely done but, much to my dismay...it didn't work. It says as follows:
"Coupons Entered
The following coupons have been entered but require additional information or do not meet eligibility requirements. Click "View Details" link(s) for more information.
Inspiron affiliate offer $750 off $1999+. Not including XPS"
Could they have reached the 4000 notebook limit already or I am making an entry mistake? I'm not sure
Your help is greatly appreciated

Dell is currently running the 10 Days of Savings, which may disrupt the coupons although they were issued only 2 days ago. I tried using them yesterday and came up with the same problem. Were you trying to configure an e1705, e1505?
-
the e1705. Also, If I can't get it to work this go-round, is there another similar coupon on the horizon?
-
What coupon did you use? This one? Q1KD?36$JJ0TW2

That code is generated when the proper e-value is not entered... in other words, the laptop that you choose is not available for the coupons.
This generally happens when you choose the highest pre-configured laptop (always the most expensive one). Try selecting one of the middle laptops and configuring it up to the high end. -

Hey Dude
I just went through all the e1705's and 9400 configurations that dell and dell small business can offer and the only ones that this coupon will work for are the single core rigs,
If you look under the button that says "Customize it" on the dell website, there will be this 'e-value' code, where ever you get your coupon from, make sure that its valid with the e-value code of the system that you are going to configure.
i was going to complete my order this week for one of these too, but now im just gonna wait till Dell stops screwing around.
Patience! -
that's because these coupons only work with the Home Section of Dell, not the small business section.

I got it to work. It didn't work because the e-value codes didn't match. I'm kinda mad though because the $750 coupon can't work in conjunction with the $400 coupon they already give you. But, I'll have to make due.
Dell coupon won't work for me!
