Last week Dell sold 10,000 laptops in 55 minutes for their $750 off discount. This week 8,000 in 5 minutes! Right, sure sounds like a scam to me, then it tells you to call and they offer you $200 off. Now I believe what everyone says about Dell, now I'm no longer a customer. So if you felt bad for not getting the deal becaue you were late, dont, because 5 minutes after it started, Dell said they were out, then when I asked "you sold 8,000 computers in 5 minutes" he said, well maybe it isnt 8,000, just sold out of those for the special discount, then he said, well if you really wanted it you would pay the $1300. Peace Out Dell, now my $1500 new PC every 2 and a half years will come from someone else.

The problem with these deals is that everyone and their granny scheme to buy one and then sell it on ebay so people that don't really need them buy them and try and make a buck on ebay. the margins are so slim or non-existent though, that they don't. i don't think dell is scamming, that's of course highly illegal and called baiting to do such a thing...they've gotten in trouble for such a thing before and are probably wise not to do it again.

I appreciate your input, as well as all the input you have given this site. But unfortunatley, I think thats exactly what they are doing. When called, said I am only interested in the coupon code price, but the rep continued to ask questions, build a the system and try to pawn it off on us for $550 more than the coupon, (they said they would give me $200 off). So now they have great deals on 600m's which is not what many people want these days, maybe to make good, maybe to rid their stock, got a bad taste in my mouth, like I ate a sh@# sandwich from Dell, so my business is done with them. Thanks again, DG
