I would greatly appreciate a coupon for a vostro 1500, due to me wanting to save extra money for college. If there are any extra coupons that any of you guys have, it would just be great if I could have one. Thanks.

Get a 1520, it's almost the same thing only with different color.... It has a $325 coupon now.

I put together a Vostro 1500 for 1100 and a 1520... even with the discounts it was 1400. I feel like the Vostro is a much better deal.
About these coupon code... this is my first laptop experience, how do i get these sent to me. Is their a e-mail or a magazine i should sign up for? Also, for now could someone send me one if they don't need it? -
look around here for coupons and google is your friend....

I've never seen coupons for the Dell business notebooks.
-
they just had them out you missed it by like a week or so.. dell does do the mystery coupons on the vostro's but you would need to get one from a memeber who has recieved one via email. usually they are 25% off

Now if only I trusted Dell to send me a good working system in the first place! -
remember i offered you one lol...

lol now they have 425$ inspirons .. just fyi thats a killer deal.. even if it is a dell..

The problem with the Inspiron deals is that the lowest (cheapest) Santa Rosa CPU (800MHz FSB) they offer is the 2.0GHz. That's significantly more expensive than the 1.6GHz 800MHz FSB you can snag a Vostro 1500 for. The deals on the Inspirons are great, but they force you into a more expensive processor. I can pick up either:
A) Vostro 1500 - 1.6GHz 800MHz FSB, 8600M GT, 80GB HD, 2GB RAM, WSXGA+
~$850
B) Inspiron 1520 - 2.0GHz 800MHz FSB, 8600M GT, 80GB HD, 2GB RAM, WSXGA+
~$1000
The Vostro means business support (US correct?) while the Inspiron means outsourced support. Like I said, the Inspiron coupons are a great deal, but the Vostro's have been and still are a great deal. I don't care about 1.6GHz vs 2.0GHz and domestic support is a big deal for me, so I'd rather find a 25% off coupon and pick up a Vostro 1500. -
the inspiron deals are much better for someone that wants a fully configured system with the works added.. the vostro's are better for a more base model system but they quickly add up when you start adding stuff to them, also i had 2 vostro 1500's and no matter what dell tells you i know i didnt get domestic support i got the same india suport i had with the inspirons.. cant say maybe everyone will but i saw no difference personally with the support between the two
Does anyone have any vostro 1500 coupons?
