And even if you do actually get it, plan on receving it within 1-3 months. At least, that is how it was with the MSI 8800GT (from what I heard). :/

I don't know Greg , it looks good to me , reasonable price , I don't see why DELL wouldn't honor it .

However for a few $$ more a proper 7K200 with 3 yr warranty is a better buy ( unless DELL is going to give the same terms even if its not installed in a DELL machine ) .

Dell is actually shipping units at this price so the deal is legit.

Secondly, the installation of these drives in a Dell system allows for the drive to take on the warranty of the system.

I also received mine also. Installed vista business 64 and everything seems to working nicely. Took a while to get the hard drive, but I feel it was worth it. I'm just regretting not ordering two of them so I could do a raid set up.

I don't know which is which
200 GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA Internal Hard Drive with Free Fall Sensor or 200 GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA Internal Hard Drive for Select Dell Inspiron/ Vostro Laptops. They both cost the same.

Does the e1705 use SATA? If so, it will work. The price of the drive is now 169 though (through Dell).
