Palm Treo Pro here. Got $55 back instantly!

Ooh, bummer, sorry to hear that.
-
No, it won't. From the FlyerTalk forums:
I can confirm the same...and no, an anonymous proxy won't work, either. -
Oh geez, remind me not to go Ebay surfing when I'm out of the country. Thanks a lot for the headsup.
-
i'm getting impatient, i wanted to get this laptop this week...
i've never used bing, what are the chances of another keyword popping up to trigger 20% cashback? anytime soon? -
Sounds like you can use ebay. Just don't log in through bing if you are out of the country.
-
Yea, but I usually do bing before going surfing just in case I see anything good. I'll probably forget and screw it up.
-
-.-' well I signed up for the quick cashback program and unfortunately it seems only 1/4 purchases were cashed back immediately and go figure it was the one that only gave back 3$. Still its better than saving nothing I suppose.
-
Instant cashback is usually given for purchases that state No Returns.
-
ohhh Ic didn't even think about that because if I did do a return they would have to cancel the cashback.
-
Exactly. So if there's a no return policy, you're more likely to get instant.
However, this is no guarantee of course. And in addition, while some sellers may put no returns, sometimes they are willing to negotiate. -
nope not working anymore....lol
-
Nooooooooo T_t
edit: does anyone know this will become 20% again? T_T_T_ -
here's to hoping it will actually go back up to 15%
http://www.cashbackr.com/live-com-ebay-cashback-trend-chart
and this time i won't snooze...
edit: nevermind... someone on FW just explained it's a glitch that always shows 15% on the last date until it's updated -
Does this data change everyday or is it just an estimate?
-
data changes everyday as you can see on the graph. I missed the 20% ebay cashback, so i'm hoping microsoft will make it 20%+ again around christmas
-
I want it at 20% now! Before my 10% coupon expires! lol
-
haha, according to last year's graph, cashback for ebay went up to 25% on December 14th, 16th and 17th. I might wait for that..
-
Do coupon codes like cebay10dec (10% off) make your purchase bing ineligible?
-
I really really hope so! My 10% coupon expires on the 14th.
Nope. -
When it says that it will expire on 14th, does that mean that it will not work on the 14th or will it still work until 12am on the 15th?
-
The Offer will expire at 11:59:59 PM PT on December 14, 2009. Purchases made within the Offer period must be charged to your PayPal account no later than December 14, 2009 at 11:59:59 PM
-
is the max you can get with ebay and bing $200?
-
Cashback at Ebay using bing is limited to $200, so for cheaper items, it's about the %. For expensive buys, the % becomes a smaller factor.
-
kinda sucks but hey, 200$? I'll gladly take it.
-
just waiting. would be uber sweet if they get at least 15% CB by 14th.
-
wait... so ANYONE can use this coupon on ANY purchase on ebay???
if so... damnit i could've saved another $60 the other day...
-
No, not everyone can. Those who have received it definitely can, and a small group of others can strike lucky.
-
Just in case someone doesn't know how to use Bing Cashback on eBay items (I didn't until today), here's a great step-by-step:
This is taken from FatWallet's mekas' post, found here. -
well, just out of curiosity, i clicked the "Buy It Now" button on a laptop that i'm thinking about buying. before confirming the purchase, it allows you to put in a coupon code and it worked
so how does it work for the seller? do they get 10% less than their selling price or does ebay comp them the remaining 10%? -
Ebay pays for it. Seller receives full payment.
You might have gotten lucky. On some occasions, it lets you key in the coupon, then tells you, the coupon you just used is not linked to this account right before you pay.
Not every account does.
One of my accounts received the coupon so that was a definite yes. Another account did not receive the coupon but was able to use it anyway. Other accounts were unable to do so. -
nice, thanks for the details
the laptop i'm currently eyeing is an HP elitebook
looks like you've got some experience with them... but the one i'm going for is the 6930p, you have any idea why they're going for ~50% off @ ~$600 when the 8530 and 8730 aren't being discounted as much? i just bought one 6930p for my brother (still waiting for its arrival), but now i'm a little skeptical about the deal when buying mine... since it seems too good to be true.
any insight on these deals? i'm thinking they're refurbished since you can pick them up from HP for $600 and up, but then the one i bought still has 3 years on the warranty and auction stated "brand new in box" -
Hmm, part of it is that Elitebooks aren't exactly that well known as their Dell or Lenovo counterparts outside corporate arenas, so their resale value tends to be lower as well.
-
no they get the full amount its a ebay coupon has nothing to do with the seller wow forum got hung up so i got beat to that answer
-
regarding the ebay coupon code you enter.... it does work when you apply it, but when you go into paying for the item through paypal, you'll get an ebay error notification saying the code can not be applied to the item because its not the ebay/paypal email its attached to...
in other words, only people who ACTUALLY got the code will get use it at the very end and WILL work. all others its a no-go.
-
ahhh... thank you!
there was one in particular that had the configuration i wanted, but i would've had to pay 9.75% sales tax, so that kept me looking elsewhere. figured, with the coupon, i'd break even and was about to pull the trigger.
you might have saved my butt from some major disappointment... -
i thought i would save about $125 in transactions but that didn't go through. i was definitely
for a good while...
-
Again, as I mentioned earlier, a very small percentage of those who didn't get the coupon will be able to get it to work. Very small percentage.
Maximum of $100 on the coupon. -
Yeah, yesterday I found out I wasn't in that small percentage, unfortunately. Looks like the Intel X-25M 80GB will just have to wait...
