I don't know much about external HD's but my Dad gave me a heads up on a deal at Circuit City for a Western Digital USB External 160GIG HD. It's $140 with a $60 rebate. Good deal?

    Is it a good product?

    Depends. Do you need storage?

Yes- Western Digital makes the best hard drives in my opinion - never had a better drive.

    Keep away from Toshibas. ;)

ChazMan - yes I will throw some art/logo files, music files and maybe DVD files on it and keep my 60G Hard Drive on my i9300 somewhat open.

I ordered a 320GB WD drive from newegg for $108 after $15 rebate (model number WD3200JB) this specific drive and the Hitachi T7k250 (250GB) are regarded as the best 2 drives to use in enclosures especially if they will stay on for long times because they produce the least heat. Or in a PC of course!

So what I am trying to say is that for almost the same $ you can get more storage space if you build it on your own. Newegg has a very large sellection of enclosures ranging from 20-50$

OR buy.com every now and then are offering the IOGEAR 320GB for 180$ after rebate ... which is also a good deal, that's if you need that much space (the IOGEAR containes the same WD drive I mentioned above)
