I'm seriously considering getting this one, unless someone gives me a good reason not to! For example, do I need to have firewire? I'm just doing basic transfer of files and backup from my desktop to my new dv6500t.

Haha! Got that one for myself from Fry's! It was exactly being lowered from the shelves the time I was looking at the newspaper I brought! =)

Actually, can someone tell me why I might want the FreeAgent Pro 320mb instead of the regular FreeAgent? Or is there something better for under $100?

    I was gonna order this

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3094179&CatId=136

but I really have to get one this weekend so if anyone knows where I could find one at this price, by all means let me know!!! (I have about $25 in discounts from Tiger Direct with GCO and $15 off from a previous purchase.)

    Thanks again,

    Ya-Ya

Pro has eSata (and also firewire I think), which is faster compared to USB.
