On black Friday i saw a 500gb hard drive for $79. When i got my 160 gb external hard drive a year ago, i payed $120.

Man that is a good deal. I wish I'd have gotten that.

I'm seriously considering getting this one, unless someone gives me a good reason not to! For example, do I need to have firewire? I'm just doing basic transfer of files and backup from my desktop to my new dv6500t.

Actually, can someone tell me why I might want the FreeAgent Pro 320mb instead of the regular FreeAgent? Or is there something better for under $100?
I was gonna order this
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3094179&CatId=136
but I really have to get one this weekend so if anyone knows where I could find one at this price, by all means let me know!!! (I have about $25 in discounts from Tiger Direct with GCO and $15 off from a previous purchase.)
Thanks again,

Pro has eSata (and also firewire I think), which is faster compared to USB.
External Harddrive, anyone got a better deal than this?
