I think Solitaire lags out on that chipset.

That is the biggest friggin lie ever. Sandy bridge integrated graphics are actually quite powerful. If Solitaire would "lag out" on that chip, then how is it that I can play all of my 80 some old PC games perfectly fine on my core 2 duo notebook with intel gma 4500 integrated graphics? How is it then, I could play battlefield 2/2142 on medium to high settings, with NO lag, on my arrandale based notebook with intel integrated graphics? Please, enlighten me.

He may have been exaggerating about solitaire, but it doesn't change the fact that intel doesn't have a graphics chip that meets the system requirements for the game.

The only really positive thing I can say about intel integrated graphics is that the performance is sort of in line with some of the slowest modern integrated graphics chips, which is a big step up for intel. Keep in mind that the other GPU companies do offer integrated graphics that are much more powerful, and they all include much better drivers and software support.

Dedicated graphics is a whole separate ball game, but that's the situation in integrated-land.
