Not bad, but IMO Norton sucks. NOD32 is better, faster, and uses less system resources. But can't go wrong for a free year of AV.

Norton has problems on boot process as it is realy slow. but when loaded, it's like it's not there. I have tried many AVs and Norton has the most accurate detection and removal engine. just today i switched back to NAV2007 from three different most downloadable AVs, Norton has detected a trojan in my machine. :)

perhaps on your computer, but if you switched back to like a P3 1GHz...it would be MORE than noticeable...that's why i prefer Avast! 4 on all my machines.

haha. yeah, i dont use norton either. (for the reasons well known)

I prefer PC-Cillin or ZA suites.

However this is a pretty good deal if someone was in need of a new AV and wants to try this one out or needs renewal of their current Norton licenses.

I don't think I would install norton even if they paid me.

I got sour over Norton back when I was running Win 2000 Pro. Repeated errors coming up on boot that just tired me out. Gave up on my subscription to SystemWorks and never went back.

Don't know how they are these days, but it sounds like a good deal for someone that still uses Symantec software.
